    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1  I’ve never made a large purchase over the Internet. How do I know I'll get what I ordered?
We have been in the commercial carpet industry for over 20 years, and online since 1996.  You are 100% guaranteed that you receieve exactly what you ordered. If you can't figure out what you need, we have a full staff of Floor Covering Specialists that can help guide you through the purchase over the phone. If you need assistance, please call us at (800) 723.9173.
2  What about shipping costs, do I pay for shipping?

Yes, shipping has minimums, but also prices will vary on quantity and weight of floor covering shipped. We quote you all charges that apply. Freight charges change daily due to energy cost, fuel cost, etc. Freight charges are only an estimate.

3  Does Commercialcarpetdistributors.com accept returns if I order too much material?
We accept returns, however, in most cases our distributors and manufacturers charge a restocking fee which generally ranges up to 35% of the order. In addition, you would be responsible for the original as well as the return freight. No returns on custom orders. No returns on any rolls less than 100 feet.  No returns on adhesive. You can avoid this by having a professional installer or measuring company measure the area or asking for our assistance when calculating the quantity that you need. Remember, often it is a good idea to keep the extra in case of any damages, spills, etc.
4  What if I receive the material and it was damaged in transit?
We deal with some of the largest and most well respected freight companies in the United States and Canada such as Roadway Express. Their claim ratio is less than 1%. Even taking this into consideration, damage sometimes will occur. If there is any damaged material, we immediately replace it for you and file a claim with the freight carrier. There is no cost to you for replacement material, providing the damage was noted at the time of the delivery.
5  Do you have a catalog or brochure?
No, our web site is our catalog. There may be free catalogs available from our vendors, please call or email for specific brands.
6  How long does it take to receive my order?
Most orders ship in 2-4 business days and require 3-10 business days transit time. Large quantity orders sometimes take several weeks. They are exceptions in some cases. Ask about our Time Critical Service by Roadway Express for the quickest shipping (Guaranteed) or its free. Please remember that we are not a freight company, therefore, we cannot guarantee average arrival times due to acts of god, human error, etc.
7  Does commercialcarpetdistributors.com charge sales tax?
We do not charge sales tax if shipped out of the state of Georgia. Sales tax applies if shipped inside Georgia
8  Are samples available on all products?
Free carpet samples available on some products. Name brand carpets are available for a minimum handling charge.
9  What are different Commercial Dye Methods

Dye Methods:

Solution Dyed - In a solution died carpet the process begins with melting down the polymer into a solution and then dying the entire solution. Next, the solution is astride into the Nylon. This process is similar to a carrot, if you slice it open you see orange through and through. It is orange on the inside and the outside. If you get a stain on a solution dyed product you're able to aggressively clean it out, even a bleaching process will take out the stain and leave the color as good as new.

Yarn Dyed - In a yarn died carpet the process begins by melting down the polymer and astruding it in its natural color, which is clear white. Then the yarn is taken and put in a vat of dye where it is died. This finished product can be compared to a radish. It is red on the outside, but white on the inside. The carpet will have the dye on the exterior of the yarn. In some cases you have to be careful with aggressively cleaning it. If you clean too aggressively you might remove the stain as well as the dye, leaving the white interior of the carpet exposed.
